In summer 2021, Linzi Stauvers, Head of Learning at Ikon Gallery, Birmingham, invited Angela Kingston to join her for an in-conversation about three exhibitions from the early 90’s. The first, Mothers, was about mothering and being mothered. The two others were concurrent exhibitions, Clean and Dirty (accompanied by a publication called Hygiene), which explored ideas of social and political contamination.
